I've been a beaver for just under a year, but before that my Dad and Grandpa and Gandpop were all Cubs scouts, and even queens scouts and leaders, so is a cause close to our family in many ways. Anyone who knows anything about the scouting organisation knows that it enhances lives of young people but giving then skills they can use for life. It also benefits the local and wider community. Our new Scout hut will mean we can do so much more including stay dry.... the old one is a bit leaky in extreme rain! I'm going to do 100km in a pentathlon style to help achieve our about groups goal.
