Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. They are between the ages of 10.5 – 14. We currently have two Scout Troops and 32 active members. If your child would like to join us, or you’ve got an interest in helping us out then please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!
We meet on Tuesday nights from 19:00 - 20:45
with 17 active members.

The Pioneer Troop meets on Tuesday evening at 7pm at the Headquarters with 17 active members. Our sessions run until 8.45pm.
Michael has been involved with the Pioneer Troop since it was formed in 2012 originally as an Assistant Leader. Both Nicole and Chris are former members of the Troop.
Each term we try to have sessions based around traditional Scouting skills mixed in with current badge requirements. We attend all Group events and Camps.
In the last couple of years we have had two Troop weekend camps, a coastal summer camp and a Film Night and overnight stay in the HQ. Older members have had annual weekend Middle of Nowhere camps, a Hike Camp where they carried all the kit and an outdoor skills training day.
We have tried archery and air rifle shooting, the martial arts of fencing and capoeira, had Nerf gun and water pistol battles, worked on badges, been crabbing, carved pumpkins and taught Cubs about using axes and saws, fire lighting and foil cookery, enjoyed games and challenges and developed teamwork.
Most of our members attended Group Camps and enjoyed a weekend of activities and getting to know other members of the Scout Group. And several members attended the County Water Activities Weekend for an enjoyable weekend of water-based activities and meeting members of other Groups.
An Activity Day in Norwich involving a Monopoly Run treasure hunt, a pizza lunch and climbing and trampolines in Gravity was a really good day out.
We have taken part in the Hoxne Village Clean Up for the last ten years and were pleased to run a barbeque to support the Hoxne Village Fete. We annually run a Pop Up Pancake Café for parents and friends.
