Explorers
Explorers are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders.

We meet on Friday nights from 19:15-21:00 with 10 active members.

The section also includes the Young Leaders’ Scheme, where young people are able to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections.
We have a full-on programme with international camps to Kenya (in 2013, 2016, 2019 & 2023) and Ice & Fire Expedition Iceland (in 2014 & 2017), the Explorers also take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Recently, we have been gliding, sailing, mountaineering, go-karting, water activities, air-rifle shooting and much more.
